Comparative Prices and Indexes For Brown Coal Produced in Ukraine and East European Countries

Brown coal as a cheap energy source is considered as an alternative to more expensive coals of other groups, in all Eastern European countries. Prices for brown coal depend such parameters as grade size, calorific value, sulfur content, ash content, and others. However, brown coal from different regions has one common feature, i.e. high inherent moisture content, which can reach 60%. Despite having similar indexes, brown coal varies in price depending on country of origin.
