European Coal Prices Showed The Largest Price Increase Over The Week, Price of Brown Coal Remain Unchanged

 

As reported by Bloomberg, European coal prices for 2013 contracts rose to the highest level for over a week amid rising oil prices.
 
The cost of steam coal for 2013 of the Port of Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Antwerp increased by 0.5% to $ 97.45 per tonne on Monday, according to brokers surveyed by Bloomberg. This is the highest level since Nov. 23. At the same time, prices for Ukrainian lignite remained at the same level and will not be reveiwed ($ 40/ton FOB Odessa, 33 euros / ton DAP Western border of Ukraine).
 
Price for Brent oilfor January rose by 38 cents to $ 111.61 a barrel at the ICE Futures Europe Exchange in London with China's official manufacturing index reaching a seven-month high.
